Advanex Redesign
Project Overview
Advanex Inc. is a global manufacturer specializing in precision springs and fasteners, with a wide range of innovative engineering solutions. As a long-time client, we had already built a strong foundation of trust and familiarity with the Advanex brand, team, and industry. Drawing on both my past design work for Advanex (including photo retouching, web banners, and print collateral) and even my early career experience working at a major U.S. fastener company, I was able to approach this redesign with a nuanced understanding of both their internal goals and end-user pain points.
The main objective of the project was to modernize the Advanex corporate website — not just visually, but structurally. The previous site had grown bloated over time, with sprawling navigation and duplicate content that made it hard for users to find what they needed. Through regular client meetings and close collaboration with our internal team, we conducted a full audit of the legacy site and worked to rebuild the entire information architecture from the ground up. This effort led to a dramatic reduction in page count, clearer content hierarchy, and a vastly improved user experience.
Beyond the structural work, I also led the hands-on design of custom interface components, responsive layouts, and original visual assets that aligned with Advanex’s corporate identity. The result is a cleaner, more intuitive website that not only reflects the company’s technological innovation but also better supports the needs of their customers and global partners.
